"Says that he has stored each on of your tears in a bottle. God has not turned his back on your suffering. Even when you feel completely alone, God has not abandoned you. It breaks His heart to see you hurt. He is close enough to catch each one of your tears."
Lately I have felt attacked. Physically my body has been in quite a good sum of pain: allergies, sickness. It is so painful that at times I feel so alone. Just when I want to doubt God, He reminds me that He is the creator of all things. He is Mighty and worthy of my praise-in good times and in bad.
I have also been discouraged at times as of late trying to find a decent job and still at a crossroads. Do I make a leap of faith or stay within the realms of the known, what I can see and know what will happen?
Sometimes my heart knows that God is always near and ready, but my brain full of human logic tries to solve my problems. Guess what, that does not get me far!
Are you discouraged about something? Do you feel alone?
Sit down right where you are if you are not already sitting.
Calm your mind and thoughts.
Imagine your burdens teeter-tottering on your shoulders, they are the burdens you carry as luggage with you everyday. Now, imagine yourself raising your arms and when you look down you see shackles and chains weighing your arms and ankles. Your shoulders are still heavy with your burden luggage, you are tired and weary.
Now lift your head and look up, there is a bright light, more beautiful than you will ever be able to describe. There is a man who steps into sight, his face is filled with empathy and concern. He comes to you with His arms open. He does not speak with words, but actions.
You look down as he unlocks the shackles that have rubbed your ankles raw. He then moves to the chains on your hands. He unlocks those too. You then notice your shoulders are light, the yolk you have carried, this man has placed it on His shoulders. He then motions you to follow Him down a path. That path is your life. His love is more powerful, more sustainable than anything else.
These times shall, too, pass.
