Today our appointment went great! Dr. Scott was extremely encouraging and very helpful in explaining what was happening to Rory's eye. Basically the Hemangioma is putting pressure on Rory's eye, causing an astigmatism-making it extremely blurry.
There are two things we can do, a Beta pill which is used on heart patients, which will lower her blood pressure but completely rid the eye of the Hemangioma or, we can do a steroid injection.
We will see what happens, but because of the Hemangioma poor little Rory will probably need a pair of glasses.
Well that is what is up with her health..other than the fact that Rory will be getting an ultrasound of her back because it is curved and caused our Pediatrician to be concerned. We'll see, her appointment is May 5th, so if you could say a little prayer for her, it would be welcome!
Here are a few photos of beautiful Rory...oh you do not know how lucky you are! She is smiling!
Enjoy today! The sun is shining, the Spring clothes are in, The Office is on tonight, my bike is finally out of the shed and ready to ride!
Blessings!
